The birthplace of tea production, China produces more tea varieties than any others, each shaped by its unique terroir. From our fragrant Moroccan Mint Tea to the Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearl Green Tea, a testament to artisanal craftsmanship, China offers a world of flavor exploration.

 

Fun Fact: Our Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearl Tea is crafted with two young Chinese green tea leaves and a plump bud, meticulously hand-rolled into a large, tight pearl – a testament to skilled craftsmanship. As night falls, delicate jasmine blossoms lightly scent the pearls seven times, giving the tea its full body and aromatic floral scent.

Japan, with its rich tea growing regions like Shizuoka, Uji, and Kagoshima, is renowned for its exceptional green teas.

Our Sencha Green Tea, sourced from a family-owned estate, undergoes gentle processing to retain its vibrant colour, subtle grassy notes and natural sweetness.  For a unique Japanese twist, try our Genmaicha Green Tea, which blends high-quality Sencha with roasted rice for depth and sweetness.

With a passion for transforming businesses, growing brands and building winning teams and close to 30 years of extensive experience in the food service industry in both company-owned and franchised environments, Sanjiv is responsible for driving business growth for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in the Americas and India.

He was formerly Chief Operations Officer for Sweetgreen where he led the Field Operations, Food Safety & QA, and Ops Services and Innovation teams. He played a key role in shaping the strategy and direction of the brand as an integral member of its leadership team.

Additionally, he was also the Chief of Operations for Dine Brands where he was instrumental in the turnaround of the brand. Prior to that, he had a multi-disciplinary global career with Yum Brands, spanning assignments in Dallas, London, and New Delhi.
